20th National Session Conference of EYP España

20th National Selection
Conference of EYP España
It is our utmost pleasure to introduce you to Barcelona National Selection Conference 2025!

The session, which will take place from the 9th of July to the 15th of July, will gather over 120 delegates from all around Europe to discuss and debate some of the most important challenges of our society.

Furthermore, this unique experience will also foster our core values, such as cooperation, active citizenship and democracy, among all the participants.
What is the EYP?
The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a non-profit and non-partisan organization with an educational spirit aimed at addressing the needs of European youth. We encourage young people to have critical and independent thinking and facilitate their earning of social and political skills.

Since its origins, in 1986, hundreds of thousands of young enthusiasts have participated in sessions such as Barcelona NSC 2025, fostering European unity, promoting democratic values and creating long-lasting friendships. For this reason, EYP has become one of the largest European platforms for political debates and international meetings. Currently, the organisation has more than 5,000 volunteers throughout Europe, which organise over 500 events annually.

“Reshaping Europe through the window of change”
Under the theme “Reshaping Europe through the window of change”, we aim to base the pillars of the session on the foundational premise of Catalan modernism: transforming established norms through the study and analysis of the past.

In this sense, it is undeniable that we live in a time of constant change. The geopolitical conflicts affecting the European continent—both within its territory and in its decision-making—, the rapid advance of technology, and the polarization of an increasingly divided society are challenges, many of them deeply rooted in the past, that point to a very uncertain future and pose a significant challenge to the current political landscape. Therefore, we often need to turn to our past, to the knowledge and experiences we have accumulated as a society, and rethink them through the "window of change".

In this framework, we want to address this topic through three main pillars that represent three of the most significant challenges Europe faces today: digital transformation, ecological transformation, and socioeconomic transformation.
Additionally, beyond these premises, we aim to establish creativity as the foundation for building solutions and with it the following three objectives:
On top, you can see the logo and the inspiration: La Casa Batlló. This building is a symbol of Catalan modernism and one of Antoni Gaudí's most significant architectural works in the city.

Moreover, this iconic window serves as the building’s introduction to all visitors, standing prominently at the entrance of this house built in the early 20th century. Furthermore, we want La Casa Batlló to represent the session’s image due to its groundbreaking nature in contrast to the architecture of its time, making it one of the finest examples of this artistic style.
